Company History
Founded in 2001, Advanced Learners was the vision of a small team of professionals with a plan for bringing expert tutors directly to students needing academic assistance. Rooted in the belief that one-on-one, personalized, in-home instruction is the most effective way for students to focus on academic improvement and build confidence, the Advanced Learners philosophy was developed. Starting with just two markets in Florida, the idea grew. Within 3 years, Advanced Learners expanded to the rest of the country, and is now offering services in all fifty states.
Team Members
Amy Smith, Founder
Amy holds a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. She has worked in education, both as a teacher and as a tutor, for over 15 years. She has served in various positions as a volunteer in her community, most recently as an advisor to the Public Library System. Amy brings great passion for and knowledge of educational and family issues to our team. She lives with her husband and four children in Florida.
Kenneth Smith, CFO
Kenneth has over 20 years of professional experience in accounting management, programming, and database management. Kenneth also serves as the IT Director for TutorSelect, LLC and is the founder of AutoDataSmith, a private consulting firm for automotive dealers.
